Declared an Asset of Cultural Interest in 1949, historians, archaeologists and technicians collaborated in 2004 in the recovery of the Mirandés Castle. It was built at the end of the 15th century by Diego Sarmiento to control the passage of goods over the bridge over the Ebro. The scene of successive disputes, it was dismantled at the beginning of the last century to install the city's water supply tanks.
